Manage Tab

Origin Source Types Connections are captured during the the Schema Snapshot > Origin Connections > Get Connections Tab process.
They are used to identify the type of the Origin Connections (e.g. folder, ODBC, OLEDB).

There are no IPDF default values.

Step-by-step guide

To update an existing connection:

1. In the Manage Tab click on the New or Edit linksEdit link for a respective connection
2. Type the following data:
   Name: the name of the Origin Source Type
   1. Description: free text descriptionGovernance (optional): associated Governance item
   2. Notes (optional):  free text optional notes
   3. User: required if the connection is OLEDB/ODBC and not Integrated Security
   4. Password: required if the connection is OLEDB/ODBC and not Integrated Security
