Step-by-step guide

1. In the Manage Tab click on the New or Edit linksType the  links
2. You can update any of the fields presentedthe following data:
   1. Name: the name of the Origin Source Typetemplate
   2. Description: free  freeform text description
   3. Key Field Prefix:  rule for characters to be appended to the left side of the field name
   4. Key Field Suffix:  rule for characters to be appended to the right side of the field name
   5. Rename Field RegEx:  rule for changing the name of the field as it is found in the QVD
   6. Rename Table RegEx:  rule for changing the name of the table as it is stored as a QVD
   7. Governance (optional): associated Governance item
   8. Notes (optional):  free text optional notes

Apply QVD Template Tab

Origin Source Types are captured during the Schema Snapshot > Origin Connections > Get Connections Tab process.
They are used to identify the type of the Origin Connections (e.g. folder, ODBC, OLEDB).

There are no IPDF default values.

Step-by-step guide

1. In the Manage Tab click on the New or Edit links
2. Type the following data:
   1. Name: the name of the Origin Source Type
   2. Description: free text description
   3. Governance (optional): associated Governance item
   4. Notes (optional):  free text optional notes

Use this screen to make a high level (bulk) association of tables for a snapshot with a new or updated QVD Template

Select these options from the drop-down lists in this sequence to make an association of your QVD template with a specific set of tables associated with a specific snapshot

1. Schema Snapshot 
2. Origin Tables
3. QVD Template

Then click the button to Apply QVD Template and wait for the completion message.
