Dicitonary Dictionary Entry Types are used to define qualify the kind nature of a Dictionary Entry.

Manage Tab

To Add or Edit records:

  1. In the Manage Tab click on the New or Edit links
  2. Type the following data:
    1. Name: the name of the Governance. This can be an user name, a system or mechanism that enters the dataDictionary Entry Type
    2. Description: free text description
    3. Sort Index: the sequence of the Dictionary Entry Types displayed at Data Dictionary > Dictionary Entries > Manage Tab
    4. Governance (optional): associated Governance item
    5. Notes (optional):  free text optional notes

Dictionary Entry Types are required in the Data Dictionary > for Dictionary Entries > Manage Tab

Warning

Deleting a Dictionary Entry Type will exclude automatically all associated Dictionary Entries
