IPDF represents Qlik Sense Data Connections as Origin Connections.
Origin Source Types are Connections are captured during the Schema Snapshot > Origin Connections > Get Connections Tab process.They are used to identify the type of the Origin Connections (e.g. folder, ODBC, OLEDB).
There are no IPDF default values.
Step-by-step guide
Manage Tab
To Edit records:
- In the Manage Tab click on the New or Edit linksEdit link for a respective Origin Connection
- Type the following data:Name:
- the name of the Origin Source Type
- Description: free text description
- Governance (optional): associated Governance item
- Notes (optional): free text optional notes
- User: required if the connection is OLEDB/ODBC and not Integrated Security
- Password: required if the connection is OLEDB/ODBC and not Integrated Security

A configured Qlik Sense Server link is required to get all available Qlik Sense Data Connections from a Qlik Sense Server.
During Get Connections process, IPDF will create/update one Origin Connection per Qlik Sense Data Connection and will create - if not exists - the respective Qlik Sense Data Connection Type as Origin Source Type.
