Bulk Export Apps is an inProcess App Operations command that allows users to export multiple Qlik Applications as QVF files.

In Qlik Cloud it is not possible to export Qlik Sense Applications published on Managed Spaces.

App Export Profiles

Before using Bulk Export Apps you must create an App Export Profile.

inProcessAppOperations.exe app-export <connection> <profile>

Connects to Qlik Sense RND Server and export the Qlik Applications to BKP Export Profile.

The AppList.json file

AppList.json is an optional output JSON file from the Bulk Export Apps process. It contains when the export process happened and which files were exported.

AppList.json is an optional feature but highly recommended since it improves the QVF naming convention flexibility during Bulk Import Apps process.

AppList.json can be renamed to any JSON file but as default it is named as AppList.json.

AppList.json can be created and populated manually to be used on the process.

Below the structure of the AppList.json file:

The AppList.json properties are:

  • Year
    Based on the start date and time of the Bulk Export Process.

  • Month
    Based on the start date and time of the Bulk Export Process.

  • Day
    Based on the start date and time of the Bulk Export Process.

  • Hour
    Based on the start date and time of the Bulk Export Process.

  • Minute
    Based on the start date and time of the Bulk Export Process.

  • Second
    Based on the start date and time of the Bulk Export Process.

  • AppList
    The collection of Qlik Applications exported

    • AppId
      The ID of the Qlik Application

    • AppName
      The Name of the Qlik Application

    • Stream
      The Stream of the Qlik Application (if published)

    • FileName
      The full path of the exported QVF file

    • OwnerId
      The Qlik GUID Owner ID

    • OwnerUserId
      The Qlik Owner User ID

    • OwnerUserDirectory
      The Qlik Owner User Directory

    • OwnerName
      The Qlik Owner User Name
