QS App Snapshots captures at a given point in time the state of all the Qlik Sense applications of a Qlik Sense Server, listing all the Tables, Columns and Measures per app.

Deleting a QS App Snapshot will delete all associated items: Tables, Columns and Measures

Take a QS App Snapshot Tab

Take a QS App Snapshot means capture all information about Qlik Sense applications - tables, columns and measures - that exist and are accessible in a Qlik Sense Server.

The IPDF Application Snapshot Qlik Sense application is reloaded at the end of the Snapshot process

IPDF may show an error message at the end of the Snapshot process but that may be related to the reload process of the IPDF Application Snapshot Qlik Sense application.
The Qlik Sense User associated to the Qlik Sense Server must have privilege to reload the IPDF Application Snapshot application

Analysis Tab

Origin Source Types are captured during the Schema Snapshot > Origin Connections > Get Connections Tab process.
They are used to identify the type of the Origin Connections (e.g. folder, ODBC, OLEDB).

There are no IPDF default values.

Step-by-step guide

  1. In the Manage Tab click on the New or Edit links
  2. Type the following data:
    1. Name: the name of the Origin Source Type
    2. Description: free text description
    3. Governance (optional): associated Governance item
    4. Notes (optional):  free text optional notes

Origin Source Types are required for Origin Connections

Deleting an Origin Source Type will exclude automatically all associated Origin Connections
