Origin Databases
IPDF represents data source databases as Origin Databases.
Origin Databases are captured during Schema Snapshot > Origin Databases > Get Databases Tab process.

Add or Edit Origin Databases manually is not allowed.
Origin Databases are required for Schema Snapshots and Flowsheet Snapshots
Deleting an Origin Database will exclude automatically all associated Schema Snapshots and Flowsheet Snapshots
Get Databases Tab
Origin Connections are required to get Origin Databases. In the current release, those are the supported connection types: folder, OLEDB and ODBC.
During Get Databases process, IPDF will use the Origin Connections to list all reachable databases - for OLEDB/ODBC connections - and the root folder for the folder connections.
Get Databases process captures only the data source databases visible by the user setup in the Origin Connections
Get Databases process will update the existing Origin Databases and will add new Origin Databases for each new Databases available
Get Databases process will not remove from IPDF captured Databases if those are deleted from the data source servers or if they are not reachable anymore form the connection. Those Origin Databases must be removed manually.
