Origin Source Types are captured during the Schema Snapshot > Origin Connections > Get Connections Tab process.
They are used to identify the type of the Origin Connections (e.g. folder, ODBC, OLEDB).

There are no IPDF default values.

  2. Type the following data:
    1. Name: the name of the Origin Source Type
    2. Description: free text description
    3. Governance (optional): associated Governance item
    4. Notes (optional):  free text optional notes

Schema Snapshots represent all metadata about tables, views, stored procedures, fields and field types related to an Origin Database at the point in time that the snapshot was taken.

The metadata in the snapshot is used by other features of IPDF, such as Data Dictionary and App Builder.


Warning

Deleting a Schema Snapshot will delete all associated items: Origin Tables, Items, Views, Stored Procedures and others

The IPDF Schema Snapshot Qlik Sense application is reloaded at the end of the Snapshot process

Warning

IPDF may show an error message at the end of the Snapshot process but that may be related to the reload process of the IPDF Schema Snapshot Qlik Sense application.
The Qlik Sense User associated to the Qlik Sense Server must have privilege to reload the IPDF Schema Snapshot application
