Origin Connections are representations of Qlik Sense Library Connections. They are captured during the Schema Snapshot > Origin Connections > Get Connections Tab process.
There are no IPDF default values.
Step-by-step guide
To update an existing connection:
- In the Manage Tab click on the Edit link for a respective connection
- Type the following data:
- Description: free text description
- Notes (optional): free text optional notes
- User: required if the connection is OLEDB/ODBC and not Integrated Security
- Password: required if the connection is OLEDB/ODBC and not Integrated Security
Origin Connections are required for Origin Databases
Origin Connections can not be created manually
Deleting an Origin Connection will exclude automatically all associated Origin Databases
Get Connections Tab
A configured Qlik Sense Server link is required to get all available Qlik Sense Library Connections.
Get Connection process captures only the Qlik Sense Library Connections visible by the user setup in the Qlik Sense Server link
Running multiple times Get Connection process will upgrade the existing Origin Connections - this is achieved by the internal Qlik Sense Library Connection GUID - and will add the new connections
Deleted Qlik Sense Library Connections already capture by IPDF will not be removed from IPDF during the Get Connection process
